The Academy Brand began in 2007 as a wholesale-only menswear label sold through David Jones, with no stores of its own. The first standalone stores followed a few years later on high streets in Newtown, Bondi, and Paddington. By 2016, growth had carried the brand into shopping centres, Westfield Miranda, Chatswood, Bondi Junction, and Warringah Mall, four openings inside about twelve months. Storepro delivered the joinery and shopfitting for the Emporium store, part of that run from wholesale label to a brand now in more than fifty stores nationally.
